Westlake Meals on Wheels helps residents in Cleveland's far west suburbs needing nutritional support on a short-term or long-term basis. We are a non-profit community service organization helping individuals with medical or aging issues. We help clients live independently despite personal limitations.
Under the direction of the Executive Director, our head cook supervises a team of volunteer kitchen assistants who prepare a wide variety of tasty, nutritious meals. They are delivered by dozens of volunteer drivers in their own vehicles. We have been cooking and delivering meals to the home-bound since 1975.
Our nutrition program provides more than a meal; we offer caring contact, security, and peace of mind. The benefit of our program reaches beyond the recipients and families we serve. One year of meal delivery is less than the cost of one day in a hospital or skilled nursing facility, saving thousands in tax dollars.
There are many ways to help. For those who can’t volunteer directly, there is always shopping, in-kind donations, and monetary donations. We appreciate any size donation!
Volunteering with Westlake Meals on Wheels is a rewarding activity. Regardless of how you volunteer, you're giving the gift of independent living to a home-bound person.
